DD's Dream Comes True

After good RAD results, and being promoted to Grade 5, Dancing Queen is now on Pointes! Her dream becomes a reality...  

  But together with this new phase in her dancing career, comes the "challenge" that goes with it --- feet blisters. But of course, for DD, the show must go on...  :)  

  ...and since that is part and parcel of a dancer's life, this, for now, is Dancing Queen's best buddy while on Pointes ---

Dancing Queen's Dance Concert

What a way to cap the summer --- DD's dance concert at the Cultural Center of the Philippines was a blast, praise God!  She danced three dances, two in classical ballet, and one in jazz (my bad, I failed to take photos of Dancing Queen wearing her other two costumes), and wowed the family, who we invited to watch along with us.  It was a good, 3-hour show, but all worth it for a great performance from all the students of STEPS Dance Studio.   Here are some photos...

Our DD is very excited!  Her little package from her English friend, Megan has arrived!   

   I admire these two girls for writing and sending out letters to each other...  In this day of techie gadgets, social networking,  and computer stuff, they managed to do it the "old but charming way!"

My Finals in ASL

I studied American Sign Language, and finally finished and passed the course.  I am passionate about helping the deaf and mute in communities, and hope to be a blessing to these people someday.  :)

Couples Night-Out

Dancing Queen just finished with this year level's RAD of Royal Academy of Dance Examinations.  Just like in the past years, we hope she'd get a high grade for promotion  :)  Will keep you posted next time...  Here she is with her classmates/partners  :)
